Hey! I'm moving to New York this summer for two internships and I was wondering if there was maybe anyone who would be interested in letting me sleep on your couch for about a week or so? I'm not planning on staying anywhere too long as to not get on your nerves or anything...I'd be happy to try and chip in a little bit of money, but I don't have enough to get my own place. If you would be at all interested in hosting me for about a week (or even more), PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

I'll be in New York from approximately May 29th through August 18th, so if you are available during ANY of those weeks at all, please let me know (either message me here or email me at piglet861740@yahoo.com). I would be eternally grateful!! Thank you so much for even considering it!

Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from the inside.
We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us.
But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves.

"Why do you suppose the poets talk about hearts?" he asked me suddenly. "When they discuss emotional damage? The tissue of hearts is tough as a shoe. Did you ever sew up a heart?"

I shook my head. "No, but I've watched. I know what you mean." The walls of a heart are thick and strong, and the surgeons use heavy needles. It takes a good bit of strength, but it pulls together neatly. As much as anything it's like binding a book.

"The seat of human emotion should be the liver," Doc Homer said. "That would be an appropriate metaphor: we don't hold love in our hearts, we hold it in our livers."

I understand exactly. Once in the ER I saw a woman who'd been stabbed everywhere, most severly in the liver. It's an organ with the consistency of layer upon layer of wet Kleenex. Every attempt at repair just opens new holes that tear and bleed. You try to close the wound with fresh wounds, and you try and you try and you don't give up until there's nothing left.

Dear Friends and Family,

I recently registered for Jewish National Fund's Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trip to Israel this March. With your help, I will be able to raise money to participate on ASB, while contributing to JNF's Blueprint Negev Campaign. To learn more about Blueprint Negev, please visit www.jnf.org/blueprintnegev.

Here's how you can help me get to Israel this March:
Each tax-deductible contribution that you generously give on my behalf will be used to develop the Negev. Once I raise $1050, I will be going to Israel with the Jewish National Fund to take part in projects throughout the Negev.

It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below. More information on Jewish National Fund and its programs can be found at www.jnf.org.

Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting Jewish National Fund and my trip to Israel! I will keep you posted on my progress.

To pay by check, send me a message for my address! Make the check payable to Jewish National Fund.

I'm going to Israel for spring break! Sweet.
If you have spring break (or free time) from March 16-23rd you should go with me! It's a community service program. Alternate Spring Break. Let me know.
They have other dates that you can do this too.
